NPSC is an organization with about 110 leading private progressive
schools as its members. Every month on the last Wednesday, the
members meet and discuss about various concerns and issues of the
school education and share their views. Invariably monthly meetings
are addressed by various thinkers, philosophers, administrators and
educationists from diverse fields besides, a two day Conference is held
every year in the month of February.
NPSC came into existence in the early 1970’s, amidst criticism about the gross inequalities and disparities in the educational system; thus bringing into sharp focus an ideological debate regarding the role of the English Medium Private Schools and the desirability of exercising a greater regulatory control over their functioning.
